Text: (2 Kings 7 v 1-9) .
Every human being is susceptible to setbacks, irrespective of your status in the society, sex, religion, color etc. When you are in a setback, you have two choices to make
1) Sit in your setback
or
2) Believe for a comeback.
The four Lepers in verse 4 from our text choose to believe God for a comeback. They refuse to sit in their setback, the decisions they took was what change the course of their destiny. They choose to work by faith rather than working by sight (2Corinthians 2 v 7). Why sit we here? Said they, let’s go up at once. And God honored their faith by going ahead of them to level all of the crooked places (Isaiah 45 v 1-3), giving them victory (2 Corinthians 2 v 14) .
Some time, we need to hear about other people’s setbacks and comeback so that we can hold on to our own hope. (Job 14 v 7-9, 14), (Hebrew 6 v 12) .As powerful as faith is, it’s still impotent operating outside of hope. Your hope is a potent weapon for the actualization of your dreams.
Your life has a purpose and an assignment; you were created to live life by design and not by default. (Jeremiah 29 v 11-13) (Ps 82 v 5-7) (Romans 8 v 28-39).
I Prophesy, that God will preserve your life in order to preserve the purpose for your life. Shalom.
